REGISTRATION POLICIES
Players will not be permitted on the ice until all forms have been delivered to the secretary and all payments and
deposits have been made. After March 15th 2008 registration will be open to the public. There is no guarantee your
player will be placed on a team. Players will not be considered registered until all forms have been turned in. Please retain
a copy for yourself. Team rostering will be first come first serve basis. (POLICY DOCUMENT REGARDING
THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS ON A TEAM AND HOW TO CONDUCT TRYOUTS UNLESS AND A AND B TEAM CAN BE OPERATED BY DSYIHA)
AS EARLY AS 5/1/2008, A MEMBER WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER WITH USA HOCKEY FOR THE 2008-09 SEASON.
MEMBERS MUST GO TO http://www.usahockeyregistration.com , AND COMPLETE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS. (***See NOTE***) RETURN A PRINTED CONFIRMATION PAGE
TO INCLUDE PRINTED BAR CODE WITH DE STARS REGISTRATION FORMS TO THE DSYIHA SECRETARY. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED REGISTERED
IF THIS COPY IS NOT SUBMITTED WITH YOUR REGISTRATION MATERIAL. ALL FORMS MUST BE RETURNED BY JUNE 1ST 2008. (INCLUDING
YOUR FIRST PAYMENT)
*** Starting MAY 1,2008, THERE WILL BE ON LINE REGISTRATIONS FOR BOTH 2007-08, AND 2008-09. THAT BEING THE CASE, BE CAREFUL
TO ENSURE YOU REGISTER FOR THE 2008-09 SEASON. THE SYSTEM WILL PROMPT YOU BY ASKING FOR THE YEAR.
USA HOCKEY AND AAHL FEES ARE NON - REFUNDABLE. THESE FEES ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH DSYIHA FEES.
Rules and regulations that are not outlines in this policy manual, it will be the privilege of the DSYIHA
to use USA Hockey’s Rules and Policies as guide lines which are available for viewing at http://www.atlantic-district.org/rules.php
*Please direct all registration questions,concerns and payments to the DSIYHA Secretary.
*$150.00 DISCOUNT will apply TO YOUR LAST PAYMENT if 1ST installment payment IS post dated by 6/1/08
DSYIHA will not accept partical payments
*All fees such as late fees, return check fees, must be paid in full before the DSYIHA can except deposits
for the next season.
*A $30.00 fee will be applied to all returned checks.
*Registration fees are non-refundable. It is the policy of the DSYIHA to NOT refund registration fees unless
a doctor’s note is attached to a written request addressed to the board. Extenuating circumstances will apply, and will
be handled by the board on a case by case basis.
*Multi family discounts will apply as follows: 1st Player paid in full, $100.00 discount
per player after that.
*All players must be registered with USA Hockey and the Delaware Stars to participate in the Delaware Stars Youth Ice Hockey
Program.
* A team becomes a member in the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association upon payment to USA Hockey/AAHA Registrar
of the total team registration fees, including all tournaments bound and registered league fees.
*At the end of each season, the Atlantic District will compile a list of all registered District players who
are claimed to owe an outstanding financial obligation by their previous Atlantic District team or organization. No player
whose name appears on the outstanding financial list shall be rostered with another Atlantic District team (regardless of
youth or adult) until the outstanding financial obligation has been discharged or satisfied and a release issued by the District
or the team or club that placed the player on the outstanding financial list.
*Birth Certificates & Contact Information
The team coach or manager and Board secretary must have copies
of birth certificates for each of their players. (Baptismal or hospital certificates are not acceptable).
* All other forms must be kept on file with the DSYIHA secretary. These forms are considered confidential
and will NOT be shared with anyone.
*Players will be registered and play at their age level. Unless a parent makes a formal written request to
the Board. Guide lines will be follow. Play must be evaluated by a panel of four, it will be the discretion of that panel
to advise the player and parent if he is allowed to play up. Certain skills will be ask of players who want to move up.
